St Kilda Sunsets

There’s nothing I enjoy more than a St Kilda sunset. It’s like watercolours that have leaked into each other on a page. A mish-mash of orange, red, pink & purple, bleeding into blue.

This particular spot on the St Kilda Breakwater, past the pier, is my favourite. I can sit here for hours. And if I ever want a change of scenery then the Catani Gardens behind me provide enough greenery and beautiful leafy trees.

On a windy day, you’ll find kite surfers doing neat tricks on the water. So, there’s your entertainment with a backdrop of beauty. The boats are docked and the seagulls have their beady eyes on your snacks. Best way to avoid their beaks is to hide your snack in a bag, and shove speedily into your mouth. Munch quickly and don’t make eye contact with the birds.

Apart from that, a St Kilda sunset walk and sitting on the wall is the perfect way to end a work day.
