Poetry

Quiet

Wind waves kiss my skin,
They say hello to my lashes
When my tear drops need loosening.
I am me.

Raindrops land softly on my cheeks,
They embrace my tears
When they meet.
I am me.

Crackling fires catch my eyes,
They wink and wave at me
When I am in need.
I am me.

The sun rises lighting everything in tranquility,
When I believe I have lost
The will to speak becomes me,
Yet lips keep faint breaths,
My chest beckons the sun’s rays
And a smile lightens on my face.
I am me.
