Not only was the day before Rakhi, but also the kite festival in Jodhpur. I wasn’t expecting the views or the atmosphere when I got up onto my family’s terrace.
The 360 degree views are incredible but watching people fly kites from their rooftops was jaw-dropping. The talent and tact with which they sliced each other’s kites and stole away their goods left me with a slack jaw. Music was playing in the background and eventually the sun went down with fireworks and lanterns from all over.
Bats flew across the skies as only a few kites were left soaring above the rest. We laughed & joked while looking over this desert city.
