Low-lighting, twenty pop-up bars and four breath-taking floors are your hosts for this long-awaited event. Here’s a festival of the best, the most innovative and the most desired cocktails around London, Paris and Amsterdam. This Cocktails In The City differed because of its international floor and guest bars; Little Red Door from Paris, with a menu comprising of only images and Door 74 (the first speakeasy in their part of Amsterdam. If that’s not enough, then you’ve also got a glamorous rooftop, and my favourite seductive crypt (downstairs).

The bars and cocktails that stood out for me on the night:

Dishoom (located second left on the ground floor)

Dishoom (named after the sound made in Bollywood action movies) served my favourite cocktail of the night using Lanique (a rose spirit liqueur), Haymans Gin, guava juice, homemade rose and cardamom syrup, lime coriander and mint. This drink is named Edwina’s Affair after the affair she had with the last Englishman in India. Garnished with a rose that is representative of Edwina as the English rose- this drink is stirred with history and ingenuity.

The Whip (located on the left of the ground floor)

Making Brits proud with their sweet Chase Rhubarb Vodka. The Rhubarb Radler is a mix of Chase Rhubarb vodka, fresh lemon juice, syrup, aromatic bitters, pink grapefruit and Wild Goose Chase Beer. This was my first drink of the night and a great start to the event.

Cahoots (located deep within the crypt)

Already a favourite of mine on Kingly Court, the post-war 1940s is brought to life underground in Cahoots. Using picket signs to guide cocktail lovers to the floors below, Cahoots knows how to make its mark. Their cocktail, The Mayfair Miller, used Martin Miller’s Gin which was perfect on the day with its gentle bouquet, lychee liqueur, fresh lime juice, berry cordial, elderflower liqueur and Fentimans rose lemonade.
